My opinion of Dollar Shave Club

Early last week I had read a blog from a women saying all the things she loved about Dollar Shave Club. I decided heck it's only a dollar why not. What could I really have to lose. I normally buy a three pack of razors from the store & spend about $7/8 bucks. I have fairly long legs so even though my hair grows back slow I still have a lot of work to do. I wanted to find a good razor that has a good grip but also will basically glide over my boney knees. I was told by the website I should also try the shave butter because it had gotten good reviews. So I ordered that as well. Which I believe was only $6 bucks? A week later I was walking to the office of my apartment going to pick up my package. As I've gotten older I realized it's so much more fun to order online & get it in the mail. It's like a present for myself, by myself. So basically I get twice as excited. I actually got a few goodies in my box. I received a little newspaper, welcoming me to the shave club, about the shave butter, my razor and the shave butter. The first thing I noticed upon opening my box is I liked how the razor did have a good grip and looked sleek. I know it's supposed to fit more for a man I think but works for women too. I'm used to buying my girly razor that come in pink & green. Also came with 4 razor heads. The day I received the package I had actually shaved my legs that morning so I had to wait a day to try my new products. Tried the shave butter & oh my goodness it smells amazing. That's one of the first things I noticed. It's also got a lot of really good stuff in it to like golden barley (anti-irritant), prickly pear cactus (moisturizer), & pacific sea algae (soothing). Which I have no idea what any of those are but it does the job. I shaved my legs just fine. It did do a good job around my boney knees which I enjoyed. I noticed though that I will run out of the shave butter fast because I have so much leg room. I noticed to how when I had finish my legs felt super smooth. Which is prefect since it's winter now & my legs tend to get somewhat ashy. Honestly for the price it comes with a lot. I just think it's better quality then what I can find at the store for the same price. I'll probably just stick to shave cream, since $6 for shave butter I'll go through so quick may not seem worth it. Alex thought the shaving stuff was for him but maybe I'll end up getting him on to since I liked it so much. I would really recommend looking into it especially for such a great price.
