Road trip with the twins
Woke up early this morning to take the kids to their grandpa's house. The kids didn't have school yesterday or today for whatever reason I can't remember. We drove to Washington county in Maryland. It was about an hour and a half from our home in DC. I love driving through back roads in the country because the views of the mountains are always amazing. It took us a lot longer than I thought it would to get there. You know your entering into the country when you can smell cow poop. When we pulled up to the house it was the cutest little house ever. It was s rich green with a red & white trim. It was even better in the inside because it was filled with antiques. I feel like there's is so much history in this house alone. They make me nervous though here because everything is super fragile & I'm afraid they'll break something. The kids gave me a tour of the home this morning when we first got here. I would totally live in an old home like this. Then we went to the park for some time. We played on the playground & did soccer/basketball. Then we went back to the house to eat lunch. The twins are currently playing with toys in the family room. Overall a good day for them to see family but makes me miss not being able to spend more time with mine since working all the time. Not looking forward to this drive home.
