And she grew..
For as long as I can remember I’ve always loved flowers. I would say I grew the interest for it at a young age when both my parents were into gardening. I’ve watched them countless times build a whole garden at our home or fill our house with beautiful pieces. I remember when I was younger living in Herndon, Virginia my mother had outside are home lavender bushes. Which to this day is still one of her favorite things I believe. I mean who wouldn’t love them? They smell amazing & they look good anywhere in your home. As a kid I was very curious & loved nature. I used to wait near the lavender bushes & catch bees in my hand. I vaguely remember doing this myself but my mother recalls it very well. I would just catch them in my hands by cupping them, sometimes I would hold them between two fingers just admiring them. Then once I was done I would let them go. I never harmed them & I think I only ever got stung once. But as I got older my love for the outdoors and flowers grew. One of my favorite things is supporting my local farmers market & buying flowers from them. I love basically anything with the idea of flowers. I seek out new flowers I’ve never seen or learn about ones I already know. I’ve quickly learned which grocery stores I like that have the best, healthy pretty flowers. I learned to never buy the bouquet already premade but to make yourself one. I also realized that I don’t really like roses because of how cliché that are. 9/10 I normally buy myself flowers. I mean yes, I have a perfect boyfriend bless his heart. But sometimes I just see something I love & can’t help getting it for myself. I’ve always been pretty creative so putting new pieces together & designing the flowers in a beautiful way is always so much fun for me. (I’ll attach photos at the bottom to show). Which brings me to a whole new topic. Currently for the most part I’ve been nannying for the past few years. I love children and while I do enjoy my job that’s not what I necessarily want to do with my life. From the bottom of my heart, I would love to own my own flower workshop/store. I’ve seen it done by a few places before & it seriously would make me so happy to make that dream come true. A girl can dream right? But rather that dreaming I could research how to make this dream a reality. Nothing would make me happier. I would truly love nothing more than to be able to grow my own flowers, & supply for weddings or events. I still have a lot to learn in the business field as well as my knowledge on flowers. But boy would that be nice.
