Quick little fly

Today I spent the the majority of my Sunday flying with my father & his friend Tim. I haven't been in a small plane like this in about a year. Notice the beautiful mountain in the background.
Here's my father, John. Out of my 24 years I've never, ever flown with him. Which to most doesn't seem like a big deal if you haven't with your dad. But to me it kind of was. My dad graduation top in his class at Top Gun school, he used to fly fighter jets such as the Black Stealth. Which is pretty fucking awesome if you ask me. He has over God knows how many hours in flying under his belt & I truly look up to him.
Mountains on mountains on mountains. Virginia has so beautiful sights. Even if these aren't insanely high they are still amazing.
Making sure everything is good to go.
I was pretty excited to say the least. I never get nervous flying for some reason not even the slightest.
Like holy shit?? Are you kidding me?? Look at this view!! Was such a splendid trip I was able to take. Thank god my free time is clearing up more.
Ingalls field. Almost 4 thousand feet up. Notice on the roof top. This airport was so quiet it was weird almost. Might I add this tiny little airport was on the top of a mountain. Looked liked the just smoothed the top of the mountain out then built an airport on top. We ate lunch here & enjoyed just the peace & quiet. The airport itself was even quiet. Kind of reminded me of the movie The Shinning with all the extra rooms & in the middle of nowhere. Even though it wasn't a hotel. I even sunbathed a little in the runway because no traffic.
This truly upset me. Luray, Virginia had a forest fire that start LAST Monday which they were still working on putting out. About 500 acres in total ruined..burned.. Destroyed. All the poor creatures & plants. The affects we saw looked like the smothering remains left. It's upsetting because the fire department thinks someone started the fire. Sad thought to think someone could do this to nature. But everything else we saw was enjoyable.

If you have a catch to fly out like I do. I highly recommend it. Even if you go near or far it'll be worth it. Some of the views you can see are speechless. I feel blessed to have had the opportunity & to share it with my dad made it that much better. I can't wait to go again!
